Refund Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Nothing is charged up front
The assessment and quote are free, there is no deposit, and your invoice isn't payable until the restoration is finished. That means for most of the process there is simply nothing to refund.
Before work begins
You can cancel any time before your card enters the restoration queue, at no cost. We'll arrange return of your card — return shipping at your cost.
Once restoration work has begun
Restoration is skilled manual labor performed on your specific card, so once work has begun, the agreed fees are owed for the work performed and payments are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law. You acknowledge this explicitly before signing the Restoration Service Agreement. "Work has begun" means the card has entered any restoration stage, as recorded in the timestamped, append-only status history on your submission.
Extra work you approved
Additional work discovered mid-restoration is only performed — and only billed — after you approve it. Declining extra work is always free and leaves your original quote unchanged.
What this policy doesn't limit
Nothing here limits rights that can't be waived under your local consumer protection law, or remedies for a complete failure to perform the agreed services.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe. We never store card numbers.
